M...Your thoughts on Holmethorpe are spot on, Steve. Mercers West is pointless to view apart from during the winter and all that lovely habitat at Spynes Mere is a lost world. Mercers Lake used to be much easier to see and the Moors is an obstacle course too – this area in particular has enormous potential, if we could ever get to it.
