For me, seeing birds coming in off the sea, to make landfall gives that extra sense of involvement. 500 Ring Ouzels with flocks of 40+ was unforgettable. Big movements of seabirds, elegant in their element are wonderful to behold. Lurking behind the fishing boats, i sometimes gasp at the ferocity of the gales.whenI leave shelter. Very occasionally smaller migrants can arrive in droves. I once saw a flock of 22 Blackcaps and on another day 100+ whitethroats in the moat. I do enjoy rarities but i am resigned to my addiction- a migration junkie!Mark Hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11427965689331178155noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8802206289996500659.post-9357885726396428892020-10-18T10:57:19.964+01:002020-10-18T10:57:19.964+01:00Agreed David, the odd treat is essential to keepin...Agreed David, the odd treat is essential to keeping the show on the road.Steve Galehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09459545933323958452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8802206289996500659.post-20807725393423836102020-10-18T10:21:35.337+01:002020-10-18T10:21:35.337+01:00I totally empathise with your post, Steve...

Perhaps I felt the need to give myself the odd treat, though, after the Summer lockdown.David Bryanthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13268653414603237548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8802206289996500659.post-49734652680037644292020-10-17T21:51:59.705+01:002020-10-17T21:51:59.705+01:00Just read your latest blog post Gav - we must be c...Just read your latest blog post Gav - we must be connected!Steve Galehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09459545933323958452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8802206289996500659.post-65220187484071638782020-10-17T21:26:20.483+01:002020-10-17T21:26:20.483+01:00Ooh, some strangely familiar sentiments there Stev...Ooh, some strangely familiar sentiments there Steve.Gavin Haighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17242398421328525578noreply@blogger.com
