The requested list

Yellow Wagtail (Martin Casemore)
#BWKM0 ND&B garden challenge
DAY 23

Ric F has requested to see a list of the species that our 'garden collective' have recorded. Well Ric, see that tab above that says '#BWKM0 list'? It's all there my friend! I'm also indebted to Martin C for supplying a bit of colour for today's post. If anybody else wants to contribute images (taken from your garden) then please send them in - all welcome.

OUR COMBINED TOTAL (BRITISH ISLES GARDENS) IS 153 SPECIES   We still seem to be missing Pochard, Tufted Duck, Ringed Plover, Dunlin, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Kingfisher.

Today's additions are : Willow Tit (Michael D)

Our oversea's gardens (New Zealand and Albania) can add an additional 14 SPECIES

You can find the combined #BWKM0 list by clicking on the right-hand tab above.

ENTRIES
Bene A (Tirana, Albania)
His #BWKM0 list currently numbers 29, including Scops Owl, Wryneck and Red-rumped Swallow

Our 'garden collective' stands at 57.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Garden firsts
Bernard B (Ruckinge, Kent) - Corn Bunting
Josephine S (Leatherhead, Surrey) - Little Egret

There have now been 117 garden firsts across the competition.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Visual interlude - #2 Coastal South Downs, East Sussex
The Seven Sisters, East Sussex, looking eastwards towards Beachy Head. I cannot say that I have birded much in this area, although have managed to see a Lesser Grey Shrike and a flock of Bee-eaters over the years. My visits have been primarily botanical. There are few finer footpaths than the one that undulates between Cuckmere Haven and Eastbourne, which follows the precipitous and crumbling edge of the chalk cliffs. A walk to be accompanied by Ralph Vaughan Williams and Edward Thomas in mind.
