Mini Uber patch

If I've got an Uber patch, why do I need a mini version? Well, all of the places shown on the map above are within a 90 minute walk of home. Apart from a tiny river at Ewell and a handful of small ponds, it is largely dry. And, in keeping with my perverse take on birding, largely un-birded. This is, to all intents and purposes, my personal project.

Looking at your bird list. I see you have not listed any Twites for Langley Vale Woods. I think today I saw a flock of them. I have some photos as well. Just wondered if this was an oversight on your side or if you had never seen any twites around Langley Vale woods, unless I am wrong and they were Linnets. Please feel free to e-mail me. I am newish to birding and just discovering my local patch of Langley Vale woods more since the lockdown.

Hi Cheech, Twite is a very rare bird in Surrey, only a very few records over the past 20-30 years. It is most likely that you have seen Linnets, a species that looks very similar to Twite. If you are convinced that you have seen Twite then a full description and preferably a photograph would be very helpful.
