Mistletoe

Someone is going to get an awful lot more than a peck on the cheek underneath this lot! Seen this morning along the eastern boundary of Norbury Park.

That is one hell of a lot of mistletoe- perhaps overwhelming for the host.

Earlier this month I was pleased to see Red Mistletoe, Viscum cruciatum, growing in hawthorns in the Sierra de les Nieves, Spain.

There are many trees in the Mickleham - Leatherhead area that are (almost) as similarly festooned with Mistletoe. I don’t know of anywhere else where the plant is so plentiful. Red Mistletoe? I need to look that one up.
